Where is Cancun, Mexico?
Cancun is located in Yucatán State and faces the Caribbean Sea. It is a world-famous tourist destination, known for its beautiful beaches, luxury resorts, and historical ruins. Cancun attracts many visitors and is one of the most popular travel destinations.

If you come to Cancun, this is the place to stay! Hyatt Ziva Cancun.
This time, we stayed at Hyatt Ziva Cancun.

Before the trip, we did a lot of research and were able to find the hotel that was most suitable for traveling with children.
Hyatt Ziva Cancun is located in the Zona Hotelera (Hotel Zone) of Cancun, a popular resort area. Situated at the very edge of the Hotel Zone, it offers a sense of privacy. This hotel is unique in that it has two beaches, one on the north side and one on the east side!

It’s an all-inclusive hotel.
All-inclusive means that meals at the hotel’s restaurants, as well as drinks, including alcoholic beverages, are all included in the accommodation price. In other words, you can eat and drink as much as you want for free! This was our first experience with all-inclusive, and it felt like heaven — we could enjoy meals without worrying about the cost, and unlimited drinks were available. However, be careful not to overeat! I, unfortunately, overindulged and by the third day, I had a mild digestive issue and could only eat light meals (sadly).
When is the all-inclusive service valid from and until?
The all-inclusive service becomes available as soon as you arrive at the hotel. For example, if you arrive at the hotel at 8 AM and complete the check-in process, you can start enjoying the all-inclusive benefits right away. While your room may not be ready until 3 PM, you can enjoy breakfast at the buffet and relax by the pool, and before you know it, time will fly by. Even after checkout, if time allows, you can still enjoy meals and make the most of your last moments!

There are so many restaurants and bars within the hotel. ✴︎ marks the ones we visited during our stay. Since we stayed for three nights, we couldn’t try all of the restaurants and bars, but we did visit our favorites multiple times.
The ones I especially recommend are these.
Buffet restaurant El Mercado

The first place we went to when we arrived at the hotel was the buffet restaurant. It had a variety of options, including Mexican dishes, Asian food, omelets made right in front of you, and plenty of fresh fruits. I got so caught up in eating that I didn’t take many photos, but it was a huge help, especially with our picky youngest child.
Mexican restraurant Habaneros
After all, since we’re in Mexico, we had to start with some authentic Mexican food!
Habaneros has the perfect location, allowing you to enjoy authentic Mexican food while overlooking the deep blue sea.
I don’t have a photo (again,, I’m sorry. I will be better taking more photos), but the ceviche was absolutely delicious, so I highly recommend you try it!

Dessert shop Pasteles
After getting out of the pool and feeling a little hungry, we came here multiple times in our swimsuits to buy desserts. It’s like heaven for kids! They have gelato and cakes too.

Unlimited coffee, lattes, and alcohol! I really felt a sense of luxury with this. I don’t usually drink much, but during this vacation, I enjoyed quite a bit!

Of course, I lost count of how many margaritas I had! (laughs) They were delicious
I highly recommend an oceanfront room!
The room we stayed in this time was an oceanfront room! It offered the most amazing view with the sea right in front of us. The reason I recommend it is that the room faces east, so you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise, and the sound of the waves is incredibly soothing.
First, let me introduce the room. It was actually my birthday, so the staff decorated the bed so beautifully for me. If you mention it during the reservation, they seem to set it up like this. On the table in the back, there was even a cake and wine. This thoughtful gesture was truly wonderful, and I was so happy. Not only this, but the service at this hotel was just as amazing as the service in Japan — it was truly excellent.

And the most soothing part of this trip was the beautiful sunrise. I woke up early due to jet lag, so I went to get a café latte first thing in the morning and was able to watch the stunning sunrise while lazily lying in bed. The sound of the waves added to the relaxation, and it was truly a calming experience.

I recommend booking a cabana at the pool
I think many people go on tours when they visit Cancun. We also debated until the very end whether we should visit the Chichen Itza ruins, but since a bus tour takes a whole day, we decided to relax at the resort this time. Next time, I definitely want to visit it.
If you want to go on a tour, I highly recommend GetYourGuide.
I was worried that swimming in the pool for three days might get boring, but there was no need to worry! Every day, there were events happening by the pool, with dancing, singing, and lots of excitement! The temperature was around 30°C, so it wasn’t too hot, but the water was heated, making it very comfortable. The view of the beach from the infinity pool was absolutely stunning!

On the last day, we rented a cabana.

It was only about five minutes, but the facial massage for two people was included, and it felt so good! The food and drinks were brought right to the cabana, and the service was top-notch. In the middle, we were served coconut juice, and it was so cold and unbelievably delicious!

The cost was $150 for use from 9 AM to 6 PM. Since you can choose the location, I recommend contacting the hotel early to make a reservation.
Summary
Even now, thinking back, it was the best vacation that makes me want to go again. From the mainland United States, it’s not that far, and with the all-inclusive package, you can enjoy a vacation at a very reasonable price. Above all, I was impressed by the excellent service at the hotel, and it has become a place of memorable experiences that I definitely want to visit again.
